BROOKSVILLE - Nearly two dozen candidates will be on hand to introduce themselves and field questions this Thursday.
The Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce will host its primary candidate forum this Thursday, Aug. 14, in the county commission chambers of the Hernando County Government Center, 20 N. Main St., Brooksville. The event is sponsored by the Hernando County Association of Realtors, the Hernando Builders Association and Hernando Progress.
Candidates will be available for a meet-and-greet beginning at 5 p.m. The forum starts at 6 p.m.
The candidates will have three minutes each to introduce themselves. They will then answer one question from either Hernando Today Editor Chris Wessel or Mike Konrad, editor of the Hernando Times.
The forum will be televised live on Hernando County Government Broadcasting, Ch. 622 on Bright House Networks and repeated. WWJB 1450 AM will also air the forum live.
