New Chefs Welcomed At Bingo Kitchen

Dee Blaha treated her mom, Jean Lane of Brooksville, to a trip to St. Croix and the U.S. Virgin Islands for Jean's 76th birthday last week. Dee and her mom enjoyed a week visiting with Dee's daughter Autumn Jean Blaha and her boyfriend Nick Terry of Milwaukee. It was a total surprise for Autumn as well. They spent the week nursing tropical drinks on the beach by day and watching beautiful sunsets with fine dining by night.

They also enjoyed the beautiful botanical gardens, old plantations, a visit to the rain forest and tide pools, and took in a show of the Macko Jumbies. At the end of the week, hubby/dad, Mike Blaha flew in to join everyone for an extended weekend, leaving Ms. Laurie to tend to the bunnies and the farm. Mike got there just in time to enjoy scuba diving with Nick at the famous Cane Bay Wall. They all returned rested and refreshed to the busy days of shipping worms, feeding the rabbits, working the gardens, and witness their first birthing of baby piggies.

There has been a change of chefs at our Masaryktown Bingo kitchen. We welcome Steve and Kathy Hruska of Brooksville.

They have relocated back here four months ago from Rockledge, which is near Cocoa Beach. Kathy is originally from Babylon, Long Island, N.Y., and Steve is from Youngstown, Ohio. Kathy has one daughter and two sons - daughter Annie Babineau is in Bangor, Maine, and just recently joined the Air Force to ship out this fall.

One son Joseph Babineau is in Portland, Maine, and other son Eric Babineau is here with them.

Steve's son, Steve Hruska Jr., works for NASA. Steve Sr. buys and sells heavy equipment and is a heavy equipment consultant, and he can be reached at 1-386-804-9996. From all reports, they have a great kitchen, putting out some mighty fine vittles!

We say farewell to Dave and Eileen Kulwicki, who had the bingo kitchen since 1994. They did an excellent job for the past 14 years. Thanks for everything, and good luck in your future!

Cheryl Atkinson sends heartfelt thank yous to all the donors, buyers and the Masaryktown Activities Club, who made the bake/yard sale possible at Kennedy Park last weekend. It has made it possible for her to attend her late son's memorial in Wisconsin.
