Rex E. Heap, 53, of Brooksville, died Sunday, Nov. 11, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Tampa. He was born in Santa Monica, Calif., and moved to this area 25 years ago from St. Petersburg.
Mr. Heap was employed by Wal-Mart for five years.
Survivors include his wife, Kim; a daughter, Colleen Faber of Brooksville; two sisters, Cynthia Crooks of California and Kathleen Allen of Massachusetts; a brother, Michael Kiernan of California; and three grandchildren.

Louis A. Smith, 80, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville. He was born in Jackson, Ky., and moved to this area 42 years ago from Tampa.
Mr. Smith was a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis Smith of Brooksville and Richard Smith of Floral City; two daughters, Debbie Kern of Land O' Lakes and Laurie Smith of Spring Hill; a brother, J.C. Smith of St. Petersburg; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Everett H. Carlson, 87, of Weeki Wachee, died Saturday, Nov. 10.
Survivors include his brother-in-law, Al Sr.; six nephews; and four nieces.
Arrangements by National Cremation Society, Hudson.
