BROOKSVILLE - It will take a bit longer for a selection committee to shortlist candidates for Hernando County administrator.
The six-person committee was to agree on two or three names today and submit them to county commissioners for their perusal.
However, because some of the six finalists for the post will not be available today, the committee will have to schedule a second interview date, employment coordinator Beth Howley said.
The committee will agree on the time and date of that second interview session at the end of today's meeting, Howley said.
The finalists for the post are:
Tom Marko, development coordinator for Miami-Dade County.
David Hamilton, administrator for Crow Wing, Minn.
Kathy Rice, assistant city manager for Surprise, Ariz., since March 2004.
Daniel Fitzpatrick, city manager of Peekskill, N.Y., since April 2003.
Ted Lakey, county administrator for Jackson County, Marianna.
Michael Shalati, county manager of Union County, N.C., from July 2001 to January 2007.
