BROOKSVILLE - Elks Lodge 2582 will hold its annual New Year's Eve party Monday, Dec. 31, at the Lodge located at 14494 Cortez Blvd. Hors d'oeuvres will be available from 6 to 7 p.m. plus an open bar will be featured from 6 p.m. to closing. Dinner will include a choice of prime rib or Italian chicken with twice baked potato, sugar snap peas, hot rolls and ice cream with cherries jubilee. At midnight, a champagne toast, and coffee and rolls will be offered. The event is semi-formal, and jackets are required. Music for dancing will be provided by Vic Thompkins and his band. The cost is $40 per person; and reservations must be made and paid for by Saturday, Dec. 22. HERNANDO BEACH - Hernando Beach Yacht Club will celebrate New Year's Eve with Elvis Monday, Dec. 31, at the Yacht Club located at 4163 Shoal Line Blvd., Hernando Beach. Doors will open at 6 p.m. The dinner will be filet minion and lobster, and appetizers will be served at 6:30 p.m. Party favors, an Elvis show and champagne toast at midnight will be featured. The cost is $50 per person and includes dinner and dancing.

BROOKSVILLE - VFW Post 8713 and Ladies Auxiliary will host a New Year's Eve party at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at the Post located at 1686 East Jefferson St., Brooksville. Finger food and karaoke will be featured. For more information, call the Post at 352-796-4449.

BROOKSVILLE - Rotary Club of Brooksville and Archer Painting will host Tangerine Time, a New Year's Eve community celebration, at 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at the Jerome Brown Community Center, 99 Jerome Brown Place, off Darby Lane, adjacent Tom Varn Park, Brooksville. The family friendly, nonalcoholic event will feature games, prizes, food and live entertainment plus free T-shirts to the first 500 people who attend. Admission is free of charge; but a donation of a nonperishable food item will be appreciated, which will be donated to the Salvation Army.

HUDSON - Aripeka Elks Lodge 2520 will host a Gala New Year's Party Monday, Dec. 31, at the Lodge located at 9135 Denton Ave., Hudson. Doors will open at 7 p.m. The event will feature a prime rib dinner served at 8 p.m., breakfast at 1 a.m., beverages, hats and noise makers. Music will be provided by Marty and the Nice Guys. The cost is $50 per person, and reservations are required.
