First Baptist Church to present 'Live Nativity'

SPRING HILL - First Baptist Church of Weeki Wachee Acres will present a "Live Nativity" from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, Dec. 19-21, at the church located at 8092 Toucan Trail, off U.S. 19, Spring Hill. Live enactment of the Christmas Story will be featured. Beverages, snacks, carolers and a children's Christmas movie, "Veggie Tales" will also be featured.

Christmas event to be held at Rising Sun Cafe
BROOKSVILLE - Community Christmas Celebration will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at the Rising Sun Cafe, 10 South Main St., downtown Brooksville. The event will include a performance by the band Providence, drama, a retelling of the first Christmas story, and a Christmas sing-a-long.

St. Andrew's to hold Christmas Eve dinner
BROOKSVILLE - St. Andrew's Ukrainian Catholic Church will hold its annual traditional Christmas Eve dinner Monday, Dec. 24, at the church located at 8064 Weeping Willow St., off State Road 50, Brooksville. Compline church services will be at 5 p.m., and the dinner will follow at 6 p.m. The menu will include traditional Ukrainian fare, a 12-course meal with desserts. Ticket cost is $12.50 per person, and reservations will be accepted until Thursday, Dec. 20.

VFW Post 8713 to host Christmas party

BROOKSVILLE - VFW Post 8713 and Ladies Auxiliary will host a Christmas party at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at Mrs. Nelson's third-grade classroom at Brooksville Elementary School, 885 North Broad St., Brooksville. Lunch and goodies will be featured. In addition, the Post will hold its Christmas party at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at the Post located at 1686 East Jefferson St., Brooksville. Finger food and karaoke will be featured.

Brookridge Entertainment to present 'Fabulous Hubcaps'

BROOKSVILLE - Brookridge Entertainment will present "The Fabulous Hubcaps" Thursday, Jan. 10, at the Brookridge Club House, 8150 Hampton St., Brooksville. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and showtime will be at 7 p.m. The Hubcaps will feature music of the '50s and '60s with an extensive repertoire of doo-wop harmony, classic rock 'n roll, Motown and R&B music. Admission is $15 per person with general seating.

Mariner United Methodist to hold yard sale

SPRING HILL - Mariner United Methodist Church will hold a huge yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Jan. 18-19, at the church located at 7079 Mariner Blvd., one block south of State Road 50, Spring Hill. Adult and children clothes, linens, leather goods, books, jewelry, boutique, furniture and tools will be featured. Brookridge to host annual bingo bash

BROOKSVILLE - Brookridge Woman's Club will hold its annual Bingo Bash on March 8, 2008, at the Brookridge Club House located at 8150 Hampton St., off Country Club Boulevard, Brooksville. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m., and games will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The total payout will be $3,200. The cost is $35 per person and will include a homemade hot lunch, doughnut, coffee and iced tea. Reservations are being taken, but full payment is not due until Feb. 1. To see the floor plan, visit the Friday Night Bingo that is held from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m.
